Chicken was a dog that was owned by the Osbourne family.
Role in The Osbournes[]
Chicken first appeared in the second series, where she mostly lingered about in the background with many of the other pets. However, Chicken made a major appearance in Meow Means No!. Here, Chicken was still apart of the Osbourne family but quickly became a favourite of Melinda. Melinda obsessed over Chicken and even began treating Chicken like a human child, which was further progressed when Melinda became pregnant and used Chicken as "test baby". After Arthur raped Gus, however, Melinda made a vow to take Chicken away, which she did. Despite this, Chicken still made small appearances throughout series 2.

According to the commentary, it was revealed that whilst Melinda did adopt Chicken from the Osbourne family, after a year, Chicken grew up and according to Jack Osbourne, it became "mean". Melinda eventually gave Chicken away, whether or not the "meanness" was a factor.
